Today, the scheme stands as a trusted institution safeguarding medical professionals through reliable indemnity support and sustained legal assistance.

Cumulative Membership: Supporting 19,963 members (including 14,566 active members) as of 28 February 2026.

Case-handling Capacity: Managed a total of 3,530 legal files between 01 April 2025 and 28 February 2026.

The Professional Protection Scheme (PPS) of G.S.B. I.M.A. was established in 1994 to protect medical professionals against evolving legal vulnerabilities, negligence claims, and regulatory liabilities in Gujarat.

Formal Inauguration of PPS House

Strengthened by expanding membership, PPS built its independent headquarters, “P.P.S. HOUSE”, located near A.M.A. House on Ashram Road, Ahmedabad. The building was inaugurated under the leadership of President Dr. Dhanesh A. Patel and Managing Director Dr. Mahendra B. Desai.

Distinguished Guests: Inaugurated by Past National President Dr. Ketanbhai Desai, with Dr. Jitendra Patel (M.L.A.) serving as Guest of Honour.
