IMA GSB Organ Donation Awareness Campaign

Organ DonationIMA GSB Awareness Campaign

IMA GSB Initiative

Organ Donation Initiative

A nationwide healthcare-led campaign aimed at increasing awareness and actual pledges for organ donation across India and Gujarat.

The Core Aim

“One organ donor can save up to 8 lives and improve many more through tissue donation.”

The campaign works to increase cadaver (after-death) pledges, close the gap between patient transplant waitlists and available organs, and promote public education on saving lives after death.

Operational Scope

The program is driven through state and local branches by distributing donor cards, conducting awareness talks in colleges, running media outreach, and collaborating directly with transplant bodies including NOTTO and SOTTO Gujarat.

Mega Awareness Drive • July 2023

Aangdan Mahotsav Launch

Inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel and Health Minister Shri Rishikeshbhai Patel, the campaign was launched alongside Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah and Shri Anilbhai Nayak (Hon. Secretary General, IMA HQ), other senior government officials, and IMA leaders. The launch triggered extensive state-wide media campaigns.
