December 2020

2021-imagsb-president

Season’s Greetings!

Since last two weeks cold wave is causing shiver in the liver. Winter is at its peak. Routinely we expect healthy season in Winter Nature is also favouring us by Corona Cases at decline graph.

The nation expects you to fight against the skewed medical education policy, health policy and myxopathy. Modern medicine and health care is facing a crisis which has happened never before. One nation one health care system is unheard in the history of any country. How can one mix, homoeopathy which does not believe in microorganism as a cause of infection, a system which believes that dilutions increase potency, with modern medicine. With the advent of Buddhism in the 300BC surgery (salya tanthra) ceased to exit in Ayurveda. How is it possible to resurrect surgery as part of Ayurveda after 2320 years. Medical science is advancing all over the world, battery of investigations is making diagnosis at the molecular level. Surgery is no longer a stand alone procedure. 70% of patients who need surgery has co-morbidities which requires multiple cross consultations and anesthesia. In short surgery is a multidisciplinary procedure. Ayurveda doctors can’t do surgery without the help of modern medical specialists.

What the people of our country needs is improvement in the social determinants of health. Spending more money on immunization and preventive aspects of health. Development of health infrastructure and proportionate increase in the number of health care workers.

On the other hand government is increasing the number of doctors, middle level practitioners, Ayush surgeons and mixopathy doctors. It is definitely a skewed view of health care priorities. Let us stop this unscientific, irrational, impracticable and anti people medical education policy and health policy.
