First of all we congratulate our incoming IMA GSB President Dr. Devendra Patel and Vice Presidents of each zone. We wish them good luck. At present burning issue to our medical fraternity is from government. First they told physician to start covid hospital then they say to give beds at their private hospitals. They followed it. Then they enforce to work at civil hospital.

If there is no big setup then ask IMA members to duty in government hospital in covid ward. Then they ask to take care of other established covid center. Also if they say no then they threaten and say that with the help of police they will pickup them. If a physician ask about proper facilities for the doffing, donning ventilators, generators then they say it is not of their concern. The doctors have to perform their duties at any cost.

Our demand for compensation of rupees 50 lacs to private practitioner is also not heard at all.

At present 34 medical students attending covid duties and being infected with Corona virus in different medical colleges in the state. With the numbers expected to rise in next few days we request a special care for the students living in the college hostels.
