2024-25

Every October, we pause to remember two towering figures of our nation — Mahatma Gandhiji and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Both were sons of Gujarat, yet their message belonged to the whole world. Gandhiji taught us that service is the highest form of strength, and Sardar showed us that unity can turn dreams into reality. Their birthdays remind us that our own work, too, must always be rooted in service and togetherness.

This October, we feel the same spirit alive in our fraternity. The preparations for the 100th NATCON are moving ahead with remarkable energy. Just as Gandhiji mobilized people with a quiet resolve, and Sardar brought them together with unshakable determination, we too are working with both vision and unity to create something historic.

We have had the privilege of witnessing the buzz during our pre-conference seminars — halls filled with eager learners, young doctors asking questions, seniors sharing pearls of wisdom, and the sense that we are building more than an event, we are building a legacy. Each seminar has been like a rehearsal for the grand symphony that NATCON promises to be.

What excites us most is the dual heartbeat of this event: on one hand, honoring the 100 senior doctors of Gujarat who have given a lifetime of healing and care; on the other, creating an academic playground for our medical students and junior doctors. One represents the roots, the other the new shoots. Together, they make our fraternity evergreen.

In many ways, NATCON is not just a conference but a bridge — between past and future, wisdom and curiosity, local service and global exchange. Each of us has a role to play in crossing that bridge together, carrying forward the values of those who came before us while lighting the way for those who will follow.

We are also preparing to welcome stalwarts from across India and abroad. Imagine the exchange of ideas, the stories of journeys from different corners of the world, and the friendships that will be forged here in Gujarat.

As we look ahead, we see NATCON not just as a conference, but as a living story — one where the wisdom of our seniors, the energy of our youth, and the vision of our leaders all meet on one stage.

This October, let us walk together with the spirit of Gandhiji and the strength of Sardar, and let us write a new chapter in the history of IMA Gujarat.
